GRDC RCSN - Five Year Summary (2015 - 2020) and Highlights
Grateful acknowledgement is made for the ideas and time committed to this initiative by the growers, advisers, agronomists and researchers who are part of the GRDC’s Western Regional Cropping Solutions Network. It has been a pleasure to be a part of this amazing group of individuals who are so supportive and passionate in improving our WA grains industry. Acknowledgement is also made to GRDC for having the vision to initiate this amazing resource to give growers and industry the ability to feed ideas for Research, Development and/or Extension into the GRDC.

Highlights of the last five years of the RCSN project include:
- 50 RCSN member meetings conducted with average member attendance of 10.54 pax from 2015-2020
- 163 RCSN members over the five years from all port zones in WA
- 57 Open Forums held from 2015-2020 with 2160 farmers/industry attending
- 257 issues were further expanded upon (traffic lights), including an assessment and identification of any projects in the past or currently that addressed top issues
- 163 scopes written by RCSN coordinator and submitted to GRDC from ideas/issues raised by RCSN members and growers
- 217 projects developed to address high ranking issues within each port zone
- 153 GRDC staff and Western Panel presentations/appearances at RCSN member meetings (some doubles)
- 237 industry/researchers presented at RCSN member meetings
- 120 industry/researchers presented at Open Forum or Summer Sesh events
- 146 presentations/appearances by GRDC staff and Panel (some attended more than once) at an Open Forum or Summer Sesh event
- Over 71 MAKATs undertaken by RCSN members
- 14 University students employed as casual support, increasing capacity in industry
